Weleda body oils will not clog pores. It is made out of the purest oils that can be easily absorbed by the skin, such as organic olive fruit, organic jojoba, sweet almond and sesame seed oil. No petroleum or mineral oils are used.

Alcohol is used as a natural preservative in Weleda’s formulation. Only organic grain alcohol that is naturally derived from fermented plant sugars are used in the formula. Unlike many conventional products, Weleda does not use Methyl or Propyl alcohol (also known as rubbing alcohol) in their products. It is used to improve the stability of the products as synthetic preservatives are not used in any Weleda products.

Only a low concentration of alcohol is used in creams, cleansers and lotions. Studies show that it is well tolerated on the skin, even on sensitive baby skin as the product does not harm the acid mantle of our skin.

All Weleda products are safe to use for pregnant and breastfeeding moms, unless you are told to avoid a specific ingredient due to any complication. The Weleda Stretch Mark Oil is specially formulated for moms-to-be and mothers. It helps to smoothes the skin and avoid the development of stretch marks. It can be applied on the stomach, thighs, bottom and breasts.
